Session 32
WELCOME… To session number thirty-two of the prophecy project. This session is a continuation of my session 31, a primer on angels, however… I am going beyond the information covered in scripture…to the book Enoch….especially..the book of Watchers. For those of you who are not familiar with the book of Enoch let me give a basic understanding. First of all, I don’t see Enoch as a part of the canon of scripture….The Bible as it is currently assembled is complete in spiritual doctrine and understanding and will bring the believer into a relationship with God and see them safely through this life and into eternity. It is not necessary to read any other books….But, with that said, there are books which clarify God’s truths and edify the believer when read prayerfully.
The book which I will be referencing was recovered from Ethiopia in the late 1773’s. and was written in the Ethiopian language (ge’ez). The book of Enoch was used and known to the early Christian church but was later lost or abandoned. When the Ethiopian manuscript was translated (in the early 1900’s – recent times) it was believed to be an Ethiopian story written from both the old testament and new testament stories and doctrine, it had references directly out of the new testament book of Jude…it also seemed to follow the old testament antediluvian stories… but with very specific embellished details and explanations not found in the old testament books of Moses. The book claims to be written by Enoch (the seventh from Adam) and he testifies to his experiences with God and the revelations given to him by God. The Enoch of scripture had the testimony that he pleased God, and God took him. The book of Enoch explains and details Enoch’s life….but little credence was given to the book because it appeared to be of post Christian origins…(the new testament quote from Jude)…but in the 1950’s the book of Enoch was also found in the caves at Qumran near the dead sea where the dead sea scrolls were found…But this manuscript was not written in the Ethiopian language but instead it is written in Aramaic, Aramaic is proto Hebrew, or pre Hebrew…this make it very likely that the book is at least one -two hundred years earlier than the new testament…and the quote found in the biblical book of Jude.. is actually Jude quoting Enoch…not the other way round, this is exactly what Jude claims in the first place….Jude gives Enoch credit for authorship of the quote.
Jude 1:14-15
“And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, (15) To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”
So Jude was quoting the ancient manuscript of Enoch, and ascribing great respect and credibility to Enoch’s prophecy.
This is what the book of Enoch states:
“And behold he cometh with ten thousands of his holy ones to execute judgment upon all, and to destroy all the ungodly; and to convict all flesh of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly committed , And of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”
This judgment event… was indicted by Jude to be yet in the future, from his time….and has yet to happen in our time today…it is a prophecy which is yet future to us today….So we look forward to its fulfillment!
I want to now look into the activities of the fallen angels in the end times…we are shown in Revelations Chapter 12 verse 4 that Satan drew a third of the angels of heaven away when he fell from the third heaven and was cast down to the second heavens and to the earth…The number of fallen angels is not small…in one event in heaven…Revelation 5:11… we see at least 104 million angels of God worshipping around the throne in heaven. “10 thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands”…If this were all the angels in heaven…..which it is not…there would be at least 52 million fallen angels…this is an amazing number… (people ask the question ..ARE WE ALONE?… No! we never have been, and never will be…The only people who will be surprised are the atheist and scientist.) So where are they? The vast majority are in the second heaven, the starry host, (space) they are referred to as the powers of the heavens… and are judged by God when he sets up his kingdom on earth…Matt. 24:29…the rest of the fallen angels are on earth…they are very discrete and not currently openly active…However, they are very influential in the affairs of men, they are the powers of this world. they have been worshipped as gods by men from ancient times. (I believe they still are) The slide you see behind me shows the transfer of kingly anointing and authority from one Assyrian king to the next…in this case it is Ashurbanipal to Ashurnasirpal…Notice the participation of angels in the ceremony…The presiding angel over the top and in the middle…is Ashhur the Assyrian sun deity…his Hebrew name is “Halayel” the biblical Lucifer. Behind the king is his spiritual consort or counselor, he is commonly called a genie, which is a spirit…but it’s clear that he is not just a spirit…he is a seraphim…with the wings… an angel directly affecting the human king…The kings heir also has his seraphim to guide him…The old king’s scepter is lowered and he is pointing to his heir…the heirs scepter is raised and his hand is receiving the transfer of authority….now in this next slide we see the same event depicted in another relief, but this time the seraphim are shown with their real faces…They have eagle faces! We know that one of the seraphim seen around God’s throne had the head of an eagle. It’s clear that some of the fallen angels are seraphim….note… that the two eagle faces are not clones of each other…they are two individuals…
The third slide documenting the kings event also shows the eagle faces…but also shows the spiritual link from the kings to Asshur… Lucifer himself. The Assyrian tree of life is shown between the Kings…it is a connective spiritual network within Lucifer’s kingdom.. which the king has access to. This tree is not part of our study so we move on…
I want to read from the book of Enoch about the activities of some of the watchers (angels) during Enoch’s time…this is much later than the fall of Satan and his angels. This account is long so please bear with me and listen carefully…I want you hear Enoch’s account.
“And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied… that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters. And the angels, the children of heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said one to another: Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children. And Semjaza, who was their leader, said unto them: I fear ye will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin. And they all answered him and said “Let us swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations not to abandon this plan but to do this thing.” Then sware they all together and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it. And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of mount Hermon, and they called it mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it. And these are the names of their leaders: Samiazaz, their leader, Arakiba, Rameel, Kokabiel, Tamiel, Ramiel, Danel, Ezeqeel, Baraqijal, Asael, Armaros, Batarel, Ananel, Zaqiel, Samsapeel, Satarel, Turel, Jomjael, Sariel. These are their chiefs of tens.
And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind. And they began to sin against birds, and the beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another’s flesh, and drink the blood. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.
And Azazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semjaza taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, Armaros the resolving of enchantments, Baraqilal taught astrology, Kokabel the constellations, Ezeqeel the knowledge of the clouds, Araqiel the signs of the earth, Shamsiel the signs of the sun, and Sariel the course of the moon. And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven…”
According to Enoch’s account… the watchers were instrumental in the corruption of the earth and mankind. Very intentional and direct interference into God’s creation, they created a hybrid race of Nephilim, half man, half angel giants. The offspring of fallen (corrupt) angels and fallen enos (man) had little chance of producing anything of value. The old testament name for man is “Enos” which means “incurably sick and desperately wicked”
Enoch continues: “Then said the Most High, the Holy and Great One spake, and sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, and said to him: Go to Noah and tell him in my name “hide thyself” And reveal to him the end that is approaching; that the whole earth will be destroyed, and deluge is about to come upon the whole earth, and will destroy all that is on it. and now instruct him that he may escape…”
We know how God caused a flood, Noah’s flood, and replanted man on earth after the flood. But seldom do we consider the destruction of the giants and their spirits. Enoch explains what happens and the judgment of God.
“And now the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon the earth, and the earth shall be their dwelling. Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men and from the holy Watchers is their beginning and primal origin; they shall be evil spirits on earth, and evil spirits shall they be called. And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble: they take no food, but nevertheless hunger and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them…(the giants) shall destroy without incurring judgment–thus shall they destroy until the day of the consummation, the great judgment in which the age shall be consummated,…
So…how does this all really affect the end times?….Lets read Matthew 24:37-38
(37) But as the days of No’e were, so shall the coming of the Son of man be. (38) For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that No’e entered into the ark.
We know from Enoch why these activities were being judged. “They” are the giants…and they were eating anything and everything, and their appetite was insatiable. They were also drinking, but not just for thirst, they were drinking blood, an act strictly forbidden by God….Have you noticed the current infatuation in society with the drinking of blood?….Marrying? why is it wrong to marry? Its not…God condones marriage between humans…but that’s not what was happening in Noah’s day…Angels were marrying human women, having children with them. This marriage was wrong and caused God’s judgment….Given in marriage…When a women is to be married, she is given by her father to groom. The father’s blessing is a way to protect young women from being victims, the father was to protect his daughter from these lustful angels. The fathers of Noah’s time failed. They were fooled into believing that the marriage was acceptable before God. this is a breakdown of God’s family unit. The spirits of the Children of these marriages had no place to go when their the body died. They have no hope of salvation, of spending eternity in God’s presence in heaven. They instead wander the earth as angry disenfranchised spirits, demons with a hatred for women and God for their plight and situation…they know they will be judged at the end of the age…nothing to look forward to…….but, remember the Nephilim were going to destroy all mankind (eat them) had God not destroyed them first….And now yet again… in the last days…all flesh would be destroyed unless God intercedes to save man and the earth from the attack of the fallen angels, demons of the past and the deceived humans which will be worshipping them in the last days.
Matthew 24:21-22
(21) For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (22) And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
