The woman and the beast

This is a composite symbol representing the woman and the beast found in Revelation chapter seventeen. John is shown a woman sitting on a beast, she is identified as Babylon the Great and the beast is the final great kingdom on earth. The beast kingdom is said to be built on seven heads, which represent a sequence of kingdoms, five are fallen (passed) one is (present at the time of John) and one is yet to come (the last kingdom). The beast also has ten horns which represents ten commanders (generals) which (in unity) give their power and authority to the beast (the man is the center) for the purpose of destroying the woman – Babylon – by burning her with fire. The beast is also seen as having absorbed three other kingdoms. They are symbolized by a Lion, Bear and Leopard.

Allen’s three books systematically explains all of these kings and the meaning of the symbols.
